Full Power Tarifa Kitefest is led by Wladimir Rodriguez and consists of 35+ local event team members and a fleet of local businesses owners. We are passionate about Big Air Kitesurfing and have lived this sport in this spot; many of us are locals who grew up and learned to kite right here.
Is world famous for extreme Big Air Kitesurfing. Any time Levante arrives, Balneario comes alive with the best kiters pushing themselves and their equipment to the limit. We only run the competition when the wind reaches a minimum of 30kts to ensure maximum extremity. Last year delivered 45+kts and tested the professional fleet to their max.
The top athletes of many kiting disciplines spend winters training in Tarifa’s combination of strong wind and waves. Despite 2021 covid restrictions, FULL POWER hosted riders from all corners of Europe as well as top international riders who travelled to Tarifa for the event.

The Full Power Tarifa Kitefest is a BIG AIR COMPETITION with high jumps and different challenges. The event takes place once per year. The wind waiting period is one month, but can be extended. We are waiting for wind conditions 30knots + for at least 2 days in a row. The final date will be announced one week in advance.
The FULL POWER media team is highly active all year on social media. The event staff consist of professional photographers and videographers local to Tarifa; they’re some of the best in the business and they know how to capture the impact of FULL POWER. In the leadup to the event, the team ramps up anticipation with a social media push along with athlete interviews, TV & Radio interviews, and pre-event videos. During the event, the livestream and IG live keep the excitement at maximum. 38K+ engaged followers joined the livestream in 2021, we’re expecting to double that exposure in 2022.
After the event, the media team produces 3 official event videos. One video of 30 seconds, one of 60seconds, and a long format of 4-6min. These videos focus on the story of the event and sponsorship exposure. We provide these videos to the sponsor to use in their promotional material.
Despite the extreme conditions, our photographers capture several thousand high-resolution photos during the event. They train in advance and have dedicated locations to ensure that we capture the ideal images for upcoming magazine publications. These images are available to our sponsors.
The Full power media team continues to upload daily media and promotional content for 4+wks after the event and maintains a consistent presence year-round.
